Zonder Kennedy & the Scoville Junkies
Last Days of Dreamland - Album out on Sept. 9, 2016

Zonder Kennedy & the Scoville Junkies meld stripped-down blues with dirty rock and roll to forge a sound that's as equally dark and brooding as it is razor-sharp. On Last Days Of Dreamland, the band's debut for Red Parlor, Kennedy's steamy guitarwork and smoky vocals meet the perfect foil in drummer Bruce Martin (Tom Tom Club) and bassist Ari Huff; together, the trio concoct a modern day witches brew that fuses the Texas and Chicago schools of blues with Lower East Side grit.

"Zonder Kennedy & The Scoville Junkies follow in the tradition of other electric Blues revisionists... the echoes of famous forebears resonate throughout - Hendrix, Johnny Winter, the Allman Brothers, Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughn being but a few." - BLURT

Eric Lindell
Matters of the Heart - Available on April 15, 2016

Life-long roots musician extraordinaire, Eric Lindell has been winning legions of fans across the USA and around the world since his 1996 debut album, Bring It Back. His compelling blend of R&B, soul and country has received widespread critical acclaim and attention from the likes of Rolling Stone, USA Today, the Los Angeles Daily News, Relix Magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times and many others, including appearances on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and the final episode of HBO's "Treme."

Playing to packed houses across the country on a nightly basis, while backed by a sizzling hot live band, Lindell's live performances are 'must-see' events. (Just ask founding member of Creedence Clearwater Revival and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee John Fogerty, who jammed onstage with Eric at Tipitina's in New Orleans to celebrate his own 20th wedding anniversary.) His annual appearances at the prestigious New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival have become the stuff of legend, and considered highlights of the two-week fest.

When not on tour with his band, Lindell plays with Dragon Smoke, the New Orleans supergroup he-co-founded in 2003 (whose members include Ivan Neville, and Galactic's Robert Mercurio and Stanton Moore)

On Matters of the Heart Lindell continues his long-time collaboration with legendary Texas guitarist, Anson Funderburgh, whose phenomenal lead playing adds even more layers of soulful blues to the album. Another friend of Lindell's, Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars, the Black Crowes), co-produced some of the tracks and adds some fantastic resonator slide guitar. Aptly titled, Matters of the Heart is a vibrant, entrancing journey; a work filled with passion, devotion, and soul.

Eric Lindell will be performing on April 22, 2016 at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival; Summer 2016 Tour Dates to be announced.

JeConte

Available April, 14, 2015
"JeConte embodies soul, talent and a creative energy that is hard to find." - KRSH Radio

We're thrilled to be able to send you Down by The Bayou, the new CD from world blues rocker- JeConte. Produced by and featuring New Orleans artist Anders Osborne, Down By The Bayou is a columniation of Cajun/N'awlins Swampy Blues and NorCal Rock'n' Roll with a sprinkle of West African influences.

Renowned world-blues artist JeConte returns with his third album Down by The Bayou, produced and featuring Anders Osborne. His 2013 release JeConte and The Mali AllStars, Mali Blues was featured as "new and noteworthy" on iTunes' for six months, ultimately launching a twelve month tour spreading across the desserts in Africa to the U.S., Europe, a'nd Japan.

Down by the Bayou digs deep into the roots of Cajun/American Blues and Rock n' Roll. JeConte's and Anders' swampy vocals and soulful guitar playing on the title track, sets the scene and invites you into a rock'n' back yard party inches from the Bayou that continues to the end of the album.

"It was great to have JeConte on KPIG. He had amazing energy and the music he shared was a rocking, soulful experience. We look forward to having him, and his band, back into the KPIG studio soon." - KPIG Radio

"JeConte is from Northern California, but on Down by the Bayou (Red Parlor ***) the singer and harmonica player immerses himself in southern Louisiana, with a vibe more like native Louisianan Tony Joe White than fellow Golden Stater John Fogerty. "Everything" veers close to zydeco, but, collaborating with New Orleans blues-rocker Anders Osborne, JeConte mostly shifts between raw and bluesy and brooding and hypnotic, all the while exuding a swamp-tinged soul that's his own." - Nock Cristiano, Philadelphia Inquirer

Suzanna Coffel

Suzanna Choffel Brings "All the Vibe in the World" (Rolling Stone) to Self-penned LP, 'Archer' (November 19, Red Parlor Records)

New York, NY -- Suzanna Choffel will release her album, 'Archer,' November 19 worldwide via Red Parlor Records, distributed by Entertainment One. Recorded in Austin, Texas, and New York City, the album's 10 tracks combine Choffel's depth of songwriting with an array of musical talent, from special guests Big Sam's Funky Nation and pianist Davíd Garza, to producer/musician Danny Reisch (White Denim, Okkervil River). Choffel, whose signature voice floats on a spectrum between Feist and Erykah Badu, is sole writer on all but two songs, mingling R&B, reggae, pop and jazz into a thrilling and distinct sound that reflects her broad influences spanning Peter Tosh to Patty Griffin. See below for full track listing.

Choffel grew up in Austin and spent years cultivating her instinctive style before moving to New York City, a path that inspired "Golden Fires"--a wistful, slow-burning ode that strikes a universal chord. The album balances heady introspection against lush textures and bounding rhythm: from the string-laden, reggae-infused "Race Car" and the percussive, provocative title track, "Archer," to the sultry groove of "Animal" and soulful, syncopated sound of "Raincloud," graced with real New Orleans funk by Big Sam Williams on trombone and Da Phessah Drew Baham on trumpet. A lover by turns cool in "Hot Shot," fiery and impassioned in "Hold Of The Night," and paradoxical in "Stumble," Choffel's soul is palpable throughout, and her music is a beautiful vehicle for her words.

Suzanna has been gathering accolades for her guitar playing since her early teens, and counts Alejandro Escovedo and Charlie Sexton among her fans. This summer she recorded a new song, "Hello Goodbye," with special guest Escovedo for an "ALL ATX" compilation benefiting Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, and she recently premiered the song live at Austin City Limit's Moody Theater in a powerful duet with Sexton, taped for PBS broadcast. Also included in the concert program is Choffel's dynamic live performance of "Raincloud" from the album.

There's been a crescendo of activity for Choffel in the last year, including a star turn on NBC's popular primetime program The Voice, winning over fans with her renditions of Fleetwood Mac and Florence Welch, and garnering critical raves, with Rolling Stone calling her "a woman who knows her own voice," possessing "all the vibe in the world."

The Warren Hood Band

Red Parlor Records is pleased to announce, THE WARREN HOOD BAND - Available June 4.

"Technology conventions will never stand in the way of really good music...the cream always rises to the top, and there are young performers out there who will find their audience [such as] Warren Hood, a terrific songwriter and singer." - Lyle Lovett

Warren Hood began playing the fiddle at the age of eleven and has since gone on to win numerous awards for string virtuosity and has been recognized twice as String Player of the Year in the Austin Chronicle Music Poll. The son of Austin, Texas music legend Champ Hood (Uncle Walt's Band, Toni Price), Warren has gone on to become an accomplished musician and singer /songwriter in his own right, and has toured extensively with the Waybacks and the BoDeans. He has performed and/or recorded with such noteworthy artists as Lyle Lovett, Ben Kweller, Little Feet, Elvis Costello, Bob Weir, and Alejandro Escovedo.

Along with Austin guitar ace Willie Pipkin, the Warren Hood Band features singer and pianist, Emily Gimble, the granddaughter of Grammy Award winning fiddle player Johnny Gimble. Emily is also know for her role as lead singer and pianist of the Marshall Ford Swing Band. "Emily Gimble ... sings with an amazing, free, effortless style. She sounds a little bit like Norah Jones and Billie Holliday, but it as not as mannered or stuffy as other female singers ... What I like about Emily is that she is totally unaffected, and the music just pours out of her, like it floats up out of her body, like an essential part of her." - Elana James, Hot Club of Cowtown.

The self-titled debut album, The Warren Hood Band, was brilliantly produced by Charlie Sexton and 9 of the 11 songs were written/co-written by Warren, including the album's single "Alright" and the rockin', soulful "Where Have You Gone", phenomenally sung by Emily Gimble.

Delta Moon / Hellbound Train
The 7th album from the world- renowned blues rock band; in stores April 6th.

The band features two remarkable guitarists, Mark Johnson and Tom Gray.  In 2008, The American Roots Music Association named whiskey-voiced Tom Gray 2008 Blues Songwriter of the Year. His songs have been recorded by Cyndi Lauper (including the hit "Money Changes Everything"), Manfred Mann, Carlene Carter, Bonnie Bramlett and many others. Tom was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Virginia and Georgia, but home was always the family farm in the North Carolina mountains. In the 1980s he led a rock group, The Brains, that recorded two albums on Mercury Records. Originally a keyboard player, Tom picked up his first lap steel guitar in the late 1980s and hasn't really put it down yet.

"Gray and Johnson's double-slide style works to perfection."- Chicago Sun-Times

"Don't let anybody tell you the blues is supposed to get you down. And damn sure don't tell Delta Moon. They know the blues is there to lift you up."- An Honest Tune
